On the afternoon of May 22, 2025, Wang Shiyun (Master’s candidate) and Zhang Yu (PhD candidate) from the Superconducting Quantum Device Team of Shishan Laboratory, Nanjing University, conducted their thesis defense at the Tang Zhongying Building of Nanjing University. During the defense, the two candidates delivered a systematic presentation on their theses, comprehensively demonstrating the research background, innovative achievements, and academic value of their work. Adhering to the spirit of rigorous scholarship, experts on the defense committee conducted in-depth inquiries into key issues of the theses and put forward constructive suggestions for thesis improvement. The two candidates responded fully to the inquiries with solid professional competence and clear logical thinking. After deliberation and secret ballot by the defense committee, both candidates passed the thesis defense with unanimous votes.
