
Research Interests: Theoretical and numerical studies of strongly correlated electron systems, quantum magnetism and quantum spin liquids, physical properties and mechanisms of unconventional superconductivity
Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, specializing in theoretical condensed matter physics. He received his PhD from Wuhan University in 1993. He worked as a visiting scholar at the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica, Taiwan from 1998 to 1999, and at the University of California, Berkeley, USA from 2006 to 2007. He was awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2005. As the team leader, he won the Innovative Research Team Program of the Ministry of Education in 2008. He served as a Yangtze River Distinguished Professor of the Ministry of Education from 2009 to 2011.He currently holds concurrent positions including Member of the Disciplinary Appraisal Panel of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Associate Editor of Acta Physica Sinica and Chinese Physics B, and Vice Chairman of the Condensed Matter Theory and Statistical Physics Division of the Chinese Physical Society.
