On the afternoon of August 19, 2025, Sun Yuting, a 2021-level doctoral student from the Superconducting Quantum Device Group of Nanjing University Shishan Laboratory, conducted his doctoral dissertation defense at Room A313 of Tang Zhongying Building, Nanjing University. The title of his dissertation was Design and Fabrication of Two Devices to Improve Superconducting Qubit Control and Readout Performance.
During the defense, Dr. Sun Yuting first systematically reported the research background, core content, innovative achievements and academic value of his scientific research work during the postgraduate period. Experts from the defense committee and scholars present conducted in-depth discussions and inquiries on the core key issues of the thesis research and related basic knowledge, and put forward valuable and constructive suggestions. The entire defense featured a strong academic atmosphere and lively discussions. After review, the defense committee unanimously approved his doctoral dissertation defense.
