On July 12, 2024, Li Wei, Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Bureau of Suzhou High-tech Zone, and Sun Yixin, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Bureau of Suzhou High-tech Zone, led a delegation to visit and provide guidance at the Shishan Quantum Computation and Quantum Detection Laboratory. Professor Yu Yang, Director of Shishan Laboratory, warmly received the delegation.

Jointly established by Suzhou High-tech Zone and Nanjing University, the Shishan Quantum Computation and Quantum Detection Laboratory is a research platform aimed at promoting the development of quantum technology and supporting the technological innovation of local industries. Since its establishment, the laboratory has made positive progress in scientific research innovation, talent cultivation, and industry-university-research cooperation.
During the visit, the leaders gained a detailed understanding of the laboratory's construction status, research directions and achievements.

Professor Yu Yang, head of the Shishan Quantum Computation and Quantum Detection Laboratory, introduced to Director Li Wei and his entourage the laboratory's latest research progress in the fields of quantum computing systems and superconducting quantum chips, and also demonstrated the laboratory's advanced equipment and technology platforms.

Subsequently, Director Li Wei and his entourage held a discussion and exchange with the research team of Shishan Laboratory. During the meeting, the two sides had in-depth communication on various aspects concerning Shishan Laboratory, including its construction and operation status, talent team building, scientific research achievements, industry-university-research cooperation, technology investment promotion, as well as its publicity and promotion. Director Li Wei fully affirmed the achievements made by Shishan Laboratory and expressed his hope that the laboratory would continue to give full play to its own advantages, strengthen basic research, make breakthroughs in key core technologies, develop industrialization, and contribute to the development of the national quantum information industry.
The leaders' visit to Shishan Laboratory not only reflects the great importance attached by Suzhou High-tech Zone to the development of quantum information technology, but also points out the direction for the laboratory's future development. Taking this visit as an opportunity, the Shishan Quantum Computation and Quantum Detection Laboratory will further strengthen its own construction, continuously improve its scientific research level, and make greater contributions to promoting the technological innovation and industrial upgrading of Suzhou High-tech Zone.
