On April 19, 2024, Zhan Guohui, Deputy Director of the Economic and Development Commission of Suzhou High-tech Zone, led a delegation to conduct research at Nanjing University's Shishan Quantum Computing and Quantum Detection Frontier Laboratory. Professor Yu Yang, director of the laboratory, and others attended the exchange forum.
During the forum, Professor Yu Yang introduced the development of Shishan Quantum Laboratory to Director Zhan Guohui, including the laboratory's talent team, technological breakthroughs, and relevant cooperation with enterprises. Professor Yu Yang stated that the short-term goal of Shishan Quantum Laboratory is to integrate superconducting quantum chips with optomechanical systems, build a distributed quantum computing platform, and explore new approaches for the large-scale application of quantum computing. Director Zhan Guohui highly affirmed the achievements made in the construction and development of Shishan Quantum Laboratory, and hoped that the laboratory would attract more supporting enterprises and R&D resources to gather in Suzhou High-tech Zone, promoting the accelerated development of related industries.
After the forum, Director Zhan Guohui and his delegation visited Shishan Quantum Laboratory and listened to the introductions of relevant research projects by the laboratory's researchers.
